Under article 3 of Law 5170/2025, from 1 October 2025 every short-term rental property must have smoke detectors and basic fire safety equipment. Non-compliance carries a €5,000 fine, doubled for repeat offences.

Frequently asked questions
In conventional systems detectors are grouped into zones and the panel shows the zone. In addressable systems each detector has its own address, so the exact room is shown. The latter suits larger buildings.
Conventional and addressable systems need fire-rated cable. Where that’s not possible, we recommend a wireless system or standalone Wi-Fi detectors.
Yes. Sigma alarm panels accept smoke detectors and a fire siren, and the fire alarm reaches your phone through the app.
